This section contains material relating to the overall management of the D. E. Williams Ltd. company. It comprises a small selection of copy minutes of the board of D. E. Williams Ltd. It also contains extensive company accounts from the earliest days of Daniel E. William's grocery business , right through to the 1980s. There is a small amount of material relating to staff, including internal staff newsletters, and salary books.
Presentment or 'Jobs' books belonging to James Franck Rolleston, Franckfort Castle, Dunkerrin, King's County. Complete for the years 1830 -1868, except for 1863, 1864 and 1865.
Details to daily attendance of pupil, by name. Also includes their date of birth, date they entered the school, numbers of pupils in the class and number of pupils in the school.
Research papers on tower houses in west Co. Offaly within the baronies of Ballyboy, Ballybritt, Ballycowan, Clonisk and Garrycastle. For each site there is one file of varying contents. The monument type, townland, parish and barony are mentioned as well as the R. M. P. (Record of Monuments and Places) registration number, the County Inventory Registration, the national grid and the ordnance datum. There are individual field sheets which may contain details to the level of preservation, the nature of surviving structures, walls, earthworks, wooden structures, boundaries and neighbouring waterways or woodlands. Often there is a sketch of the site with interior and exterior elevations as well as site or floor plans. In addition the files include typewritten reports and photographs.
The minutes contain the proceedings of the meetings of the Board of Guardians and contain reports from the clerk of the union, the master of the workhouse, the sanitary officers and others.
Audited accounts by Craig, Gardner & Son, Dublin, of John Flannery Ltd, Ballaghadereen Co. Roscommon. D. E. Williams Ltd had an interest in this business.
