Another proposal concerning a presentation to Lieutenant Colonel The Honourable Alfred Bury “as a mark of respect and esteem from the Tenants and Friends of the Charleville Estates, for his able and faithful management and guardianship of those Estates” during the Earl’s minority. A third proposal was passed unanimously regarding a presentation to the Earl’s sister, The Lady Katherine Bury on her intended marriage with Captain Hutton, Royal Dragoons. A subscription list was to be opened “to defray the expenses” and sub-committees established to help the general committee in the collection of subscriptions in their localities.
