Undated letter from W. T. Trench, Redwood, Birr referring to forestalling and that such a procedure amounted to an organised attempt against the patentees' rights. Refers also to forthcoming hearing in Birr.
With draft reply of 8th September from R. H. Moore informing that the committee had decided the previous month to send two men to Birr to watch the court proceedings.
Request Trench to send two to other men, 'My committee deem such action absolutely necessary to check forestalling'.

Copy letter from J. B. Dougherty to the Secretary of King's County Council Tullamore notifying the disallowance of the By-Law submitted by King's County Council prohibiting the holding of markets on any other day than public fair days.

Banagher Great Fair announcement

Thirteen printed posters advertising the forthcoming Banagher Pig, Cattle and Sheep Fairs and Banagher 'Great Fair'. States, 'At the pig fairs there are usually between two and three thousand pigs for sale'.
With printed notices requesting that the posters be put in a conspicuous place.
