  • 1899 - 1956

Documents relating to aspects of Moore's life in Banagher. Moore was involved in many committees in the town. These fall into two categories in this collection, namely improvements to the local economy and infrastructure and those that responded to outside events such as the First and Second World Wars. The improvement committees were Banagher Improvement Association/Committee (c.1899-1928), Banagher Fairs and Improvement Committee (1907-1928), Banagher Public Lighting Committee (1907-1912) and Banagher and Lusmagh Farmers Association (1929-1930). The other committees responded to WWI and WWII were The Garrycastle Relief Committee (1914-1915), the War and Pensions Committee (1917-1919) and the Parish Council (1941-c.1945).

Some other organisations mentioned are the Banagher Bicycle Association, the Gaelic League and the Banagher Sacred Heart Sodality which all proved extremely popular.

  • 1908-1910

Scrapbook containing photographs, drawings, colour illustrations, postcards, and newspaper cuttings relating to the Homan-Mulock family of Ballycumber House. Particular interest shown in horses and equestrian events locally and in England, with photographs from the Pytchley, Grafton and Bicester Hunts; racing at Punchestown; Moate horse show; and polo matches and gymkhanas at Ballycumber House. Many of the photographs are unidentified but there are some depicting Sheila Beddington and her younger brother Guy and their father, Claude Beddington. The scrapbook is attributed to E. Mulock which could be either (Frances) Ethel Homan Mulock or (Hester Nina) Enid Homan Mulock, but most likely the former due to the several instances of her children and husband in the photographs.

  • 1967 - 1981

Two minute books, a lecture record book, and a postage book for the association.

The minute books, dating from 1967 when the group was formed, contain a record of committee meetings held on a monthly basis, until its winding down in 1982 due to dwindling numbers and loss of subscriptions. They detail the finances of the association and plans for annual lecture programmes, including speakers and titles of papers. Also includes newspaper cuttings and some loose correspondence relating to national and international women's issues.

The lecture record book contains details and sometimes a synopsis of each lecture delivered to the association by its invited speakers, and also contains newspaper cuttings describing the lecture and its attendance. This book was also used to record meetings of the National Federation of Business and Professional Women.

The postage book records financial outlay for postage and stationary from 1968-1979.
