Moore Banagher to President Cosgrave Leinster House on behalf of Banagher Improvement Committee thanking him for the kind and sympathetic way that he had received a deputation the previous February. The second letter, from John Platt at West Side, Brompton-on-Swale, Richmond, Yorkshire, England, contains information about the famous gentleman robber Paul Liddy, found in the book, "The History of the Irish Rogues and Rapparees", published in 1776, and accessed at The National Library in Dublin.
