Dalkeith Holmes Plunkett-Johnston, the eighth child of Charles Bolton Johnston (1802–1872) and Charlotte Jane Shaw (1809–1890), was born 1 Jan 1851 at Mount Jerome in Dublin. By the age of six he could recite 23 poems, and was sent to Anglesey Collegiate school. At eleven years old he passed the Oxford Local Examination, and was the youngest of 330 successful candidates to pass with a star opposite their name. From Anglesey he went on to Clifton College. He married Maria Blanche Fuller at Clara Church in August 1874. They had a son named Charles Henry in 1875 who died as an infant, and a daughter named Constance Charlotte, born 13 Nov 1876. Dalkieth Holmes Plunkett-Johnston died 2 March 1885.

Arthur Francis George Kerr, son of Doctor Elias William Kerr (c. 1850-1920) and Fanny Brady (1851-1886), was born 27 February 1877 in Kinlough, County Leitrim, Ireland. He graduated from Trinity College Dublin and recieved his doctorate in medicine in 1908. Having learned much about botany during his time at university, he developed a keen interest in the botany of Thailand, which became a lifelong passion. He was so successful in the field of botany that multiple plant species are named after him, including Dipterocarpus kerrii, Kerriodoxa elegans, Loranthus kerrii, Nepenthes kerrii, Platanus kerrii, Rafflesia kerrii and the genus Afgekia which is an abbreviation of his names. Doctor Arthur Francis George Kerr died at the Street House in Hayes, Bromley, Kent, on 22 January 1942.

Elias William Kerr, son of Doctor William Pattison Kerr (1824-1894) and Ann Banks (1820-1887), was born in Grange Gorman, Dorset, around the year 1850. He married Fanny Brady (1851-1886) of Falcarragh, County Donegal, on 3 February 1875. They had seven children: Ethel Kerr (1875-1928); Arthur F G Kerr (1877-1942); William Ashe Kerr (1879-1936); Walter Joule Kerr (1881-1956); Harry R Kerr (1883-1917); Mark Elias Schomberg Kerr (1883-1950); and Frederick Hugh Woodhams Kerr (1885-1958). Fanny Kerr died on 8 October 1886 in Cerne Abbas, Dorset, England. Doctor Elias William Kerr died 8 June 1920 in Dorchester, Dorset, England. He was buried three days later, with his wife in Cerne Abbas, Dorset, England.
